Letter From The Founder

Hello, Villagers!

We all know RVers are a special group of people. We are pioneers who love exploration and meeting those who share our passion. Now more than 30,000 members strong and growing, RVillage is the leader of the RV social scene. It is our mission to help Villagers make meaningful connections with others who have taken to the road, and we’re delighted that our vision resounds with so many of you.

Because we are dedicated to supporting the RVing community, we choose our partners very carefully, working only with companies that have been vetted and could benefit you as much as possible. This includes keeping your RV fully insured so you can continue to enjoy the open road.

Vehicle insurance is mandated by law. We all have to have it. It is important for us to align our platform with companies that have great reputations as well as products that make sense for our lifestyle.

That’s why I’m excited to announce that we are partnering with RV insurance specialist FCIS Insurance, a trusted industry leader with more than 35 years of experience. With direct access to special lines of insurance from carriers like Nationwide/Allied, National General and National Interstate, It is important to us that the decision-making power always remains in your hands, so we have chosen to align ourselves with an insurance broker with a long history of advocating for RVers. This unique partnership gives Villagers the ability to choose freely from competitively-priced insurance plans that suit their unique lifestyle. Additionally, If you are a member of an RV Club like FMCA, Escapees etc you will have access to even more savings through FCIS.

Here is their story and why we encourage you to get a free quote through them:

Established in 1978 by Gaylord Wooge, FCIS Insurance was the very first RV insurance specialist to offer comprehensive insurance to RVers. Gaylord Wooge co-authored the very first “replacement cost” coverage policy for RV owners which did not exist back then. This important piece of your RV insurance policy is now standard among carriers because of Gaylord’s passion and advocacy for our lifestyle. I believe that this single act of advocacy helped to pave the way for the North American RV boom in the 80’s.

Courtney Wooge, Gaylord’s son and current president of FCIS Insurance, has upheld his father’s pioneering spirit, continuing to advocate for RVers everywhere by helping them find the best insurance coverage at the lowest price. I have personally gotten to know Courtney and his staff over the last year, and can tell you “He’s one of the good guys”. All of my vehicles are now insured through his office.

As an RVillage member, if you request a quote from FCIS Insurance, here’s what you can expect:

  • Response from an RV insurance specialist within 24 hours
  • Competitive rates from insurance providers that are rated “A” or better.
  • Quotes that reflect all eligible discounts for policies and that are suited for your lifestyle and unique situation
  • Dedicated claims manager to help process and track all your claims
  • Explanations of unfamiliar insurance terms
  • Knowledgeable and friendly customer service

As always, RVillage takes your privacy VERY seriously, and we will never provide your personal information to anyone INCLUDING or our partners. In addition, RVillage doesn’t make a penny in commissions from our members’ insurance policies or quotes. Rest assured that maintaining your well-placed trust in us remains our top priority. After all, we are Villagers too. 🙂

I hope you’ll take advantage of what FCIS Insurance has to offer and have them quote you on protection for your valuable asset. It costs nothing to get a quote, and I’m confident that you will be highly satisfied with the experience, and I know that you’ll benefit from the peace of mind it provides. By working with FCIS Insurance to choose the policy that best fits your needs, you will be able to focus on traveling, making new connections and continuing to embrace the RVing pioneering spirit.

Happy trails,
Curtis Coleman
